Text replacement missing after A15 /e/OS FP5 OTA upgrade

The “text replacement” feature in settings seems to have vanished. (Personal dictionary is fine thankfully).

Text replacement was a useful feature for replacing short phrase eg “omy” with longer ones “on my way”, or in my case autocorrecting some unusual typos mostly for brand names, and shortcuts for special symbols eg I had “greeka” set to replace it with “α” (lowercase Greek alpha).

Any suggestions or workarounds? Does the community build and regular Android 15 do this too?

I’m on /e/OS 3.4 official build from 2026-01-14.

PS Yahoo mail crashes constantly but so far it is a big improvement on the previous build.

On my FP5 v3.4-a15:
Settings - system - keyboard - Android-keyboard (AOSP)
In ‘Android-keyboard (AOSP)’ you find ‘Textcorrection’ with various switches - have a look if the switches for ‘suggestions’ are ‘off’
