I asked for some help here a couple of years ago and you were all very helpful and I’m grateful for it. I am back with another problem. The situation is as follows:
On Tuesday night I tried to connect to wifi on a bus and it wouldn’t work, it said that something (however it connects) was crashing. I pressed the wifi in question many times in quick succession and the phone suddenly said it was going to do a factory reset (I think). It turned off and tried to turn on again but when it came back it was a black screen with some plain text saying that it had failed and two options; try again and something else I don’t remember. I pressed the power button again and it restarted successfully, without a factory reset (thankfully). It then worked as normal for the next four days. On Saturday night it failed to charge. When I used it in the morning the battery was draining very quickly. The time and date were wrong (it went back to some time in 2022, possibly after I restarted it). It now charges but only extremely slowly (I had it plugged in for almost 24 hours and it only gained 10-15% or so. If it’s used when plugged in the battery drops. I had a spare battery (new) so I swapped it and the problem remains. The system is 260-something days out of date. I would update it but I suppose I’ll have to wait until the battery is fully charged and hope that it doesn’t run out before the task is done.
I don’t know how many of these points are significant, because I don’t know anything about these things. But I’m hoping to be able to fix it since that’s the whole point. Thank you very much for any advice in advance.
