I noticed a bit of time ago that the Fairphone 5 got the stock camera installed in /e/OS and found that there were several variable flags that got set, which may also increase/expose camera performance. The post is in the topic For a Better Camera on deGoogled Operating Systems but I felt that it would be worthwhile to make a separate post about the actual changes that /e/ made to do this, so that if there is an interested party to develop in their os, they can use and test it out in their build.
To keep this topic separate from the original post, I suggest that only code/strategies to implement the stock app remain here. If anyone feels this post is superfluous it can be taken down.
