FAIRPHONE MOMENTS does seem stabilized. I can activate it (as well as deactivate it) WITHOUT being prompted to the Play Store anymore. I am also able to customize it. Both survives two intended reboots and a complete shutdown + boot.
I have the update and can already say that the Adaptive Brightness is still broken! Framerate seems stable but i come back if I used it for a couple of days!
And there it is one day later and fps drops are still there! This is unbelievable Fairphone!
Btw, I get that the forums are no official support location, but it is listed as one of the communication methods on the main website, and the ongoing discussions on slow support replies make it feel just as sensible to discuss these issues on the forums
The update arrived on my phone yesterday exactly at 18:00. Since then the display feels better — no lag most of the time. I only noticed it once this morning when I first picked up the phone: the screen was lagging. After locking and unlocking, it was fine again. Maybe the phone goes into sleep mode and the software doesn’t handle the display correctly after waking up?
I also notice some improvement in adaptive brightness — it doesn’t seem to dim the screen as much as before.
Do you have Super Anti shake enabled for 1080p video? I just enabled it and the video looks like garbage but put it back down to normal and it was good.
Also, every update and deactivating the esim to get the update resets the network settings. It turns off Volte, vowifi and data roaming which I always have to remember to manually turn back on… and it does it for both sim cards, not just for the deactivated one… Very annoying bug.
After the upgrade configuration of my network seems to be lost.
Options like 4G calling and Preferred network type seem to get reset to their original values.
It would be nice if old options would be respected. Or at least there was a warning about options about to get lost, so user can note down what was set before proceeding to an upgrade.
