Are you using the same wallpaper for both Lock and Home screens?
If so, it might be worth trying a different one for each screen.
Which “method” or “settings route” did you use to set the wallpaper?
EDIT - This work-around helps because the Home screen and Lock screen wallpapers are set separately. It should give the same result if you set the same image for each. The important aspect is to implement the two settings separately.
Nobody is claiming that this work-around is a solution, certainly not me, but OP has labelled their post as such, possibly to help others find the work-around.
