"SIM 1 is VOLTE capable" notification

My FP6 has a recurring notification informing me that “SIM1 is VOLTE capable”. I can dismiss it but cannot see a way to disable it, and it keeps popping up. Does anyone else have this, and do you have any ideas for fixing it?

I don’t have a Fairphone 6.
On a Fairphone 5 one goes to the app Settings > network and internet > SIMs > your sim name
Have look there if there is a setting for VOLTE

Same issue, here, with new Faiphone 6.

Impossible to block notifications from “org.codeaurora.ims”.

Could not find options in “Settings > network and internet > SIMs”.

The only “improvement” I found is :

  • Clic on “Manage” (link under the notification)
  • Activate “Hide silenced notifications”

Now, there is no icon anymore on top of the screen.

So no VoLTE or 4G Calling setting? Is your network dropping to 2G/3G durings calls?

What are your provider and country?

Overall best is to report thia directly to Fairphone.

There is a 4g calling setting, but it is already enabled, I get the notification anyway. I’ll go to support with this.

Hello,
I have the same problem. Did you find a solution ?

I think I’m ready to call it, yes. I was prompted to update the OS, and after I did I haven’t had this notification again.

My build number (now) is FP6.QREL.15.91.0.

Presumably Chris-ZH also on FP5.

Yes, this seems to me to be A15 related, I also encountered the problem after updating to A15.
It seems to happen every time the phone re-establishes a mobile network connection to a VoLTE capable network, so this could happen when changing masts, coming out of a basement, etc.
If I’m anywhere near correct, anyone in a car or train should get it every few minutes.
In my experience it can be reproduced at will, simply by turning on Airplane mode and then turning APmode off again.

There’s not much we can do except open Fairphone Support tickets, asking for either its suppression OR a setting for disabling. This appears to come from the original Android source but Fairphone could filter it out in their distribution.

Same here, on FP5 after Android 15 upgrade. Please remove that.

Same thing happened to me right after upgrading my FP5 to Android 15. However, I’ve only seen the notification a couple of times, so it’s not super annoying. I think it happens only when I boot the phone or when I switch airplane mode off then on.

FP5 with A15 here … same thing BUT only since I changed carrier today …

Yes. This notification seems to be related to the carrier.
