"SIM 1 is VOLTE capable" notification

It’s been like 2 MONTHS and still no update ?

Hello fairphone devs, what are you doing ?

I can’t stand this notification anymore, it pops literally every 20 minutes on my phone…

At least give us the possibility to disable such system notification forever…

I’m serious thinking about changing my fp5 for another device just because I’m tired of seeing and deleting this annoying notification everytime I see it…

In ny expérience it does no harm to just leave the notification unacknowledged. It shouldn’t cause any trouble such as keeping the screen on.

Yeah but here’s the thing : if I want a notification gone on MY phone that I own, I should be able to make it gone.

I don’t want to have any notifications left on my bar or notifications center.

I understand it’s and Android problem at the source, but fairphone devs should have enabled the ability to suppress any notifications even the system ones.

I own the phone. I should decide what notifications I get and what I don’t get.

Just like the update notifications that pop up every morning.

I don’t want them. And regarding the poor work done for A15 update, I don’t want to do any updates anymore.

Especially when we don’t have the physical ability to rollback.

I wish I could rollback to A14…

Sorry if I feel enraged, but that’s literally the case. I have a device that I can’t entirely control and it’s infuriating.

Those issues may be looking like small ones, but it catch my whole mind around it and the pressure is building up.

Same problem here with the F5 and it s very annoying.

@Fairphone_CM any answer to our problem? A New update coming on to solve the problem?

Sorry to tell you but this is a users forum.

Same. I also have this problem after upgrading to 15.

FP5.VT2E.C.059 doesn’t fix the issue.

I’m experiencing the same persistent notification on my updated FP5. It seems to appear whenever the phone’s connection changes—such as toggling Airplane mode on/off or switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Has anyone found a fix for this?

There is no fix for this

You can set it as a silent alert. Then it’s not that bad anymore.

What do you mean there is no fix for this ?

Of course there’s a fix : what the fairphone devs should have done a long time ago : allow the user to disable notifications for every process, even the system ones.

It’s as simple and could be solved in a future update.

2 months after and still no changes. This is really infuriating…

Not sure what is unclear: I nor any other user here have a fix.

Otherwise thats for me just a minor issue nothing that I would ever allow to infuriate me.

The fact to not be able to control what notifications I can or cannot get is literally infuriating.

This goes far beyond just one notification.

It shows we’re not in control of what information we can choose to receive or not on our phones.

Edit : we should not have to install another system just to suppress one notification.

Do you realize how ridiculous this is ?

It’s like changing a car’s engine just because you can’t get the right oil measurements tool inside.

With Software Update: FP5.VT2F.C.065.20251016 📲 the issue for fp5 might be fixed. At least I don’t see it anymore when I’m in the WLAN.

I’m still getting the notification.

I get the notification only when I’m away from my WLAN. At home it’s better.

Appears to be resolved with the FP5.VT2I.C.072.20251122 update
