Shortcuts to web pages have all vanished after updating to 1.8 Kola Nut

I have just updated to 1.8 Kola Nut (from 1.6) and everything seems OK except that all the shortcuts that I’ve previously saved to my favourite web pages (stored on home screen) have all now vanished. How can I retrieve these FP?
