Hi! It is possible to reuse a “original” (bought in Fairphone shop) FP4 screenprotector? Thanks in advance for reply
Can you explain that a bit further?
do you want to swap over the screenprotector to a different phone, ore something else?
than im curious, way?
i one’s removed a original FP 5 screenprotector from a friend’s phone.
the screenprotector was already broken that’s why i replaced it, after removing the glue layer was still active. only i didn’t expect its easy to remove it and put it back whiteout getting dust in the glue layer. but maybe you succeed.
yes, exactly. My new FP4 (only 10 days old!) fell into the sea water (does not work also after washing it with deionized water and alcohol). I’m going to buy another one (using the Reuse & Recycle Programme) and I would like to save at least the screenprotector…
Thank you for your reply!
sorry about you phone,
you can try it, it doesn’t sound like you have something to lose more on that bit.
try to lift up one of the corners, just a little, when you see a bubble appear don’t pull more wait until the bubble gets bigger and the screenprotector pops of all the way, big risk of braking it on that bit, if not very careful.
to be sure you can already order a new one in case it doesn’t work.
good luck.
