Continuing the discussion from Software Update: FP5.VT32.C.116.20260903 :mobile_phone_with_arrow::

I have decided to create a new topic.
I know this issue was present on the forum already but I had felt it was solved (it is definitely worse for me this week), so I am not just adding there new replies (life will tell if the topics will not end up merged).

Will do more testing the following days. Niagara Launcher help directed me to Google Issue Tracker with plenty of posts over the years from different devices.

My potential culprits (guessing mainly)

  • some issues with the recent software (always possible, easy to blame as it is recent, but since it has not been recently reported by many users I would rather see it as a corelation not causation)
  • lack of compatibility of the recent software with my unique setting (some specific apps, or a combination of launchers - I have Quickstep inactive, Niagara as a main launcher, and FP moments installed via F-droid for testing fun); plan to test this in safe mode
  • some glitchy apps totally not related to the software update
  • bad choice of system settings glitching my display (the screen also got a bit less responsive)

Would welcome any ideas or similar reports (or calming reports from users not affected)

Follow up
I tried with the safe mode, the system switched to Quickstep (and stayed there after rebooting) but the issue persisted

Any suggestions? It seems it is not apps nor launcher. The factory reset?

it looks like I have a similar issue since upgrade.

My unlock button hung up from time to time, since the upgrade FP5.VT32.C.116.20260903.

Always when I lock the phone, I can’t unlock it for ~10 seconds. Only if I close all apps, I can unlock it directly for ~20 seconds, then without starting any app, problem come back. Same after restart.

App setup is complicated to say, I’ve installed ~50 apps. Did you find already a reason on your side?

I’ve tested also around, but couldn’t identify a specific reason yet.

Apologies for the delayed reply.

It seems to me the issue you’re describing is a bit different, more like screen freezing perhaps. I will have a look on a forum to see if something comes up.

In my case it is mainly the recents button, the situation improved once I changed the quickstep (launcher) settings but it was also present in the safe mode, so I don’t really blame any of my almost 200 apps; -)

So it does not respond on an irregular basis and usually re-tapping it works.
