Hello everyone, I got my fairphone around 2 months ago, and I’ve noticed a lot of times when scrolling on the phone I will get random touches at the end of a drag, as if the screen detected my finger lifting and quickly tapping, this is often very annoying when browsing the web because I will be scrolling and I’ll randomly open links.
I wanted to know if this is a known issue or if there’s any known way to fix it?

Oh god yes, finally someone with the same issues !
For me, it’s just after unlock, some region of the screen gets touched randomly, especially in the central left region.
Very very annoying because it randomly opens an app, and even one time opened the call app and called a contact!
Some other time, indeed after a drag like scrolling a feed, I get a touch at the end of the drag which is really annoying again because it randomly clicks a link/post/article. (Sometimes even an ad!)
I use a screen protector, in tempered glass.
Same brand as many others I got on my previous phones. Never got any issues with them on other phones before.
And before someone from support ask, no, I will not try without it, because I don’t want to pay for a new one.
This is clearly a fairphone side hardware/software issue.
How difficult can it be to make a touch screen that just work in 2025 ?!
I mean, that’s something I haven’t experienced on touch screen since the mid 2010s…
Really astonished by the capacity of this brand to sometimes encounter problems that have been solved by the others like 5 or 10 years ago…
Yeah, I’m not even using a screen protector so I can tell you that’s not the issue.
After about 2 months of use with the fairphone Im thinking I will try switching to EOS in the hope that at least some of the issues are due to bad android implementations.
A few years ago I had to get a phone asap due to my old phone dying and having to pick someone up at an airport so I ended up getting a cheap android phone for less than 200 euros, that phone had less annoying issues than my fairphone and I ended up using it for 3 years, while I dont think I’ll be sticking with the fairphone for more than a few months at this point.
I have the same problem from time to time.
I have the same problem, mostly after unlocking, the screen goes completely mad. It’s probably happened about 10 times today (I checked my phone 36 times).
I have to lock and unlock again before it tries to call my boss under my helpless eyes while I’m just trying to take a dump… this is very very annoying…
Have you all turned off increased touch sensitivity?
It is indeed turned off.
I tried to turn it on.
But I’m very doubtful it will solve anything.
I actually meant turning it off, this solved ghost touches for me.
If it is already turned off, I dont know
Yeah I had it turned off already as well and I’m still getting the ghost touches randomly.
