Quickstep gets re-activated as home app after every reboot

I setup my fp6 the way I like it. However, I want to use Nova Launcher as home app, but every time the device is rebooted (yeah, messing about with it), quickstep gets activated as home app. How do I disable this? Having to reselect Nova Launcher as home app after every reboot is getting annoying.

Check in settings —> apps - > default apps. There should be the default launcher as quickstep. Change to Nova.

Thanks, but it whows Nova as default home app.

Hmmm, looks like a normal reboto doesn’t change the home app, just when Magisk restarts due to updates/activated modules it switches back. Interesting, but not in FP issue I guess.

I have a FP 6 for 2 days and I have the same issue, on every restart. Strange enough its seems to went oké, but pressing the home button whoops then we get annoying Quickstep back… I find this a big bug on my new phone!!!

Have you checked the behavior using Gesture nav?

No, I don’t like the white stripe on the bottom of the screen insteed of buttons. But i seems to have tackled the problem. Don’t know exactly how. But: NOVA no battery restrictions etc and there was somewhere in settings : apps > speciale app-toegang > apps voor apparaatbeheer > activeer: “NOVA Launcher Nova actie schermvergrendeling.” I think thats what it did!

I am sure this works, Now on app info of NOVA: “ batterij gebruik “ is grayed out and “deze app vereist onbeperkt batterijgebruik” Not any issues anymore!
