Play Store cannot be reinstalled (1.8)

I remember that there were people who did exactly the same thing, they downgraded from 1.8 to 1.6. Lucky you, a solution has been provided!

This seems to be a compatibility issue between 1.6 and 1.8.
You can resolve this by doing the following:

• Go to your system settings
• Tap on the Apps icon
• Go to the ‘All’ tab (you can see the tab option at the top of the screen)
• Search for the ‘Media Storage’ icon and tap on it
• Tap on the ‘Clear data’ option
