Phone got wet, boots into factory mode

Hey,

My mother’s FairPhone got a few drops of water on it, and after some days of being left to dry only boots into factory mode (blue on black with Chinese and English writing).

Do fairphones do this automatically if something is broken or is it likely that the reason is simply that the volume button is jammed?

Related: Is there a service point (in Germany) I could send the phone to to have it fixed?

Thank you for your help. My mom is almost deaf, so a functioning smartphone is crucial for her being connected to the outside world.

You can try to repair it at this shop for example (or search for “handy wasserschaden” on google):

Read this carefully:

PS: You should not have tried to turn on your phone in the first place, as it’s possible that you shortened the circuits.
