Hi all and welcome. I come here to get some help suggestions. I switched from factory OS to /e/OS/ by the end of August and bricked my device because of SPL. Then I rolled back to factory ROM with SPL dated 5.08.2025. I waited few weeks for/e/OS release 3.1.4 with SPL 01.09.2025 and flashed it again.
This time flashing went ok, /e/OS/ started but very soon I realized that phone doesn’t work well. It turned out that I forgot to logout from my google account before flashing so there are many issues (being not able to define screen lock protection is one ot those).
Now I am in a bit uncomfortable situation - I need to revert to factory OS and fix google account problem. But so far latest factory OS have SPL dated 05.08.2025.
Can anyone tell when next OS will be released and with what SPL? I understand, than if I want go back to /e/OS there is no other way to get rid of google account block than using factory OS with full google services included?
I dont understand? Can you unlock it? If yes as long as you dont lock the bootloader after installing FPOS with SPL 05.08 thats no issue. I understand you only want to install FPOS to get rid of Google and after that again install e/OS?
Else the next update with SPL 05.09 might come within next 2 weeks hopefully, if you want to stay with FPOs nad relock
yes, I want to fix my problem with non-deleted google account before /e/OS/ installation. But now, when I tried to revert back to FP OS I find out that I cannot OEM Unlock in dev settings - when I choose to unlock and confirm that I really do want to do this it’s going back to system settings, nothing is changed…
On /e/OS/ forum someone wrote that there is a way to revert without this option using kinda sideload from SDCARD, but didn’t explained details yet…
