I’ve been using the pedometer on Android on my FP3 and FP6 forever.. On a newly setup with //e//Os it does not count steps anymore. What can I try to fix this?
Try
Settings/Apps/Pedometer/App Battery Usage/Allow Background Usage
and
Settings/Apps/Pedometer/Permissions/Notifications/Allow All
and
Settings/Apps/Pedometer/Permissions/Physical Activity/Allow
The notifications part feels counterintuitive, but Pedometer only seems to work on /e/OS when notifications are enabled and visible. (Swiping them away stops it.) I find it a bit annoying, but still tolerable.

It says: This app does not send notification
The other two were already on
There seem to be several “Pedometers”.
I was talking about this one:
Pedometer (PFA)
You might want to try it. And/or maybe this one:
Paseo
Both open source.

Thanks! I will try those. I love the no thrills interface on Pedometer but Paseo seems to do that quit well!
