Open OS prob: 2 of the 3 nav buttons not working

Hi.
I’ve had the Fairphone Open OS installed on my FP2 for nearly three years now, and although I’m no techie, I’ve had no particular problems with it.
But a strange thing is suddenly happening today: the circle and square buttons at the bottom of the screen now have no effect. I can tap them, and they flash, but nothing happens. Everything else seems to be working normally, including the the triangle (back) button, but with the other two buttons not working I can now only run one app at a time.
Advice, please?

Hi, since yesterday notification bar doesn’t open, home button and the button on the right of the home button don’t work at all. I tried to make the system ui tuner visible: it’s not possible. The display and the touchscreen are fine. I have a fairphone 2, android 7.1.2, fairphone open 19.08.1. Any idea? Does anybody knows something about Nova Launcher for repairing or about a another fixing tool? Thanks a lot!

So I’m afraid the only known solution seems to be a #dic:factorydatareset.
