Next week the update from 22.1 to 22.2 will be released.

Thanks for the report on tethering issue. It was never meant to break mid-cycle but accidentally they dropped tetheroffload 1.0 support. Should now be fixed with this change which is now picked for all QCOM devices.
Regarding 22.2, it will take some extra time for me to get there as I need to switch to the new Python extract utils + enable elf checks which I have been avoiding so far. Also, need to switch to AIDL Bootctrl HAL which needs extensive testing and finally need to drop Android.mk usage treewide.
Will try to get them done as soon as I can.

Hello, having problem on my Fairphone FP3 with Lineage OS 22.1 (22.1-20250319-NIGHTLY-FP3).
Speaker doesn’t work, tried playing music with Music app but after clicking play song stops immediately (like pause button is clicked instantly), in Browser on Youtube Music song continues to play but there is no sound, tried using iTest app to test speakers but test didn’t pass or fail.
Would just like to know is there some software fix or speakers are just broken and It’s hardware problem. Also there is no alarm sound just vibration.

did you try to plug headphones on jack 3.5"? if you did, was there sound?
Yes,also tried with bluetooth headphones, same result, I mean still no sound.
Was thinking of downgrading to Lineage OS 21 but recovery won’t let me downgrade, and there isn’t recovery for LOS 21 on Lineage site anymore.
Sound works fine for me, before and after the upgrade to MOS 22.1
did you try a factory reset (wipe data)?
Yes, I did, also tried flashing e/os, no sound, then clean flashed latest Lineage OS again still no sound only vibration, looks to be hardware problem, still thank you for helping me.

We are now all set for an update to 22.2. But as usual, I would request to hold on a bit once released. I have validated as much as I can but there could still be some corner cases.
The AIDL bootctrl HAL change is one major change which I am a bit afraid of.

The new Version has arrived. Who was brave enough to test it? (I was not)…
The updater seems to offer this as an OTA update. Is this correct, or does it need to be flashed? (+ Gapps, if appliccable?)
Updater should work too but flashing is preferred if you have GApps installed.
Working fine, for 2 days now. Did the OTA update with Gaps installed.

I tried installing it OTA, it rebooted but it seems to have failed. The phone is still in 22.1.
I will wait for the next release.
Successfully updated two FP3+ via OTA from 22.1 (March 19, 2025) with GApps to 22.2 (April 16, 2025). So far everything is working fine.
@TeamB58 I really appreciate the hard work you put into keeping LOS on FP3 alive!
