OEM unlock for e/OS installation on FP6 bootloader 15.148.0

hello,

i got the OEM unlock code and filled it in my FP6, but the device still locked

in the bootloder mode, the device is in : DEVICE STATE - Locked

am i the only one experiencing this issues, is there any solution to fix the probleme

Also, the site were you get the unlock OEM code is behaving strangly, every time you fill your IMEI and FP6 serial, you are offered a different unlock code, sounds strange

i tried several time with manual fastboot flashing unlock and so on, no result, it still locked

let me know, currently i’m stuck !!

The code does not unlock the bootloader it just gives the option to do this with the proper fastboot tools.

And its normal you get new codes.

Do you use the e/oS webinstaller?

yes i did and i m blocked at the step 9/24 ,

after the image is downloaded and the flash preparation done by the webinstaller, the device restart in Fastboot mode but webinstaller in unable to connect to FP6 and continue the process

FP6 is Fastboot mode and showing Device State - locked

I assume you use windows? Kindly look at this topic how to update the bootloader driver.

i tried with both , WIN11 and linux parrot, both with chrome

i downloaded on both OS the Plateforme tool and i am able to connect to FP6 with adb devices commande

i am stuck at the same step after the terminal has restrated on fastboot mode, but showing DEVICE STATE - Locked

How can i unlock my FP6 ?

well thats correct as long as it wasnt unlocked with the proper fastboot command. And ADB is not fastboot, so for windows def update the bootloader (aka fastboot) driver.

Edit for reference, as it inlcudes a link to the e/OS forum as well 🇩🇪 FP4 - installation von e/OS stoppt bei step 9/24 - #3 by AnotherElk

if the OEM unlock code is not convinient

how could i ulock the FP6 with linux OS

i already followed everthing descrbed in Install /e/OS on a Fairphone FP4 - “FP4” with no result

I cant help with Linux and will relink the important step for windows to update the bootloader driver manually,as its not clear to me, if you have done this

Have you done this on your windows PC?

yes i downloaded all from https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools?hl=fr , unziped all, executed it from a terminal and i was able to execute adb services to connect FP6

and all on WIN 11 PC

due to your answer I need to assume that you did not click on the topic I linked you twice and you did not follow the steps mentioned there. Platformtools are no driver. So kindly click on the topic, read it (there is also an EN version) and see if this helps. Again ADB is not Fastboot and it doesnt mean anything if this works.

just to be sure that i correctly understood the solution proposed

if i follow all the steps the device will switch to unlocked ?

which steps?

did you click on the topic and read and update the driver? If not my last call to do this, else I’m out, as its leading to no solution when you are not doing this. Still this step does not unlock the bootloader it only installs drivers you might need when using windows.

Overall it might be good to do some paperwork in general about adb/fastboot, bootloader etc…

i updated the pilote notably Lemobile and it worked and the installer was able to finish the work

i have an issue now, the device is in unlock status and can not boot correctly

it switch to fastboot mode

i saw the screen murena then fairphone several time and after it switched to Fastboot mode

do you have an idea ?

Solved !!!

As the device was unlocked, i managed to flash it again with linux by using a downloaded version and typing the comand chmod +x flash_FP6_factory.sh && ./flash_FP6_factory.sh

it worked succefully !!!

many thanks yvmuell for your suport
