Dear Community,
Since weāve promised you monthly Forum updates, hereās a quick round-up of what weāve been up to in November.
It was a big month for us as we announced our official foray into the US-American market. The Fairbuds XL are now available for sale State-side, currently via Amazon, but soon to be available with more partners on the other side of the Atlantic. SO if you have friends across the pond who want to switch to modular tech, spread the word and help them choose fair.
We also announced the launch of our refurbished Fairphone 5. This was an important milestone for us, especially in the middle of the Black Friday shopping frenzy that goes down every year. The refurbished edition comes with intensive hardware testing and a complete software reboot, ensuring you get a device that is safe, secure and built to last in every way. It also sports the same warranty period and extended software support as a new one, but only at a much more affordable price point. Thatās why we believe refurbished is better than new. Itās better for the planet, and better for your wallet.
In other news, the Fairphone (Gen. 6) is getting a lot of love. It recently scored a TCO 10 certification, which is the highest TCO certification any of our devices have received so far, recognizing the device for its longevity and sustainable design. Itās not just TCO. Stiftung Warentest agrees. The trusted German consumer organization rated the device as āGutā, with an extremely respectable score of 2.2.
We are also making progress on the customer support front. In case you are facing trouble with your device, we urge you to check out our new self-repair portal as your first step, where we guide you through straight-forward troubleshooting steps: Hereās how you can repair your Fairphone device yourself. .
And if you have ideas how to improve it, you are welcome to share them in this topic: Big Milestone: Repair Request Portal is live! - #29 by Fairphone_CM .
Thank you again for choosing repairable, long-lasting tech, and sticking with Fairphone. We wish you the happiest of holiday seasons, and will be back in the new year with more updates.

Sometimes separate like buttons would be nice ⦠one for āI like the effortā and one for āI like the contentā
.
A summary of whatās going on at the support front with the various visible issues haunting the community would be useful.
Nice holidays likewise to the team!

Thanks for your feedback! I try to post updates in the issue-specific topics if thereās an update I can share.
Do you mean that youād like to see a summary of updates on all current issues with all Fairphone models in this monthly update post?
From what I know from the moderators, we want to keep the comments in the specific topic threads, thatās why I thought itās better to only share general updates here, but Iām always happy to receive your feedback to make this content & my work more valuable for the community!

Letās keep related comments in that topic thread.

Yes, this makes sense.
But it could just be a summary of links, perhaps something like the following ā¦
(It did only take some minutes to assemble, it doesnāt take up much space and wouldnāt dominate the post, and it would serve as a quick and easy overview of noteworthy responses, and in preparing beforehand perhaps as a reminder that there still was homework here and there, generating even more responses to link to later

I hope the software of the Fairphone 6 becomes better. I know it has a lot of bugs. I always report them, but thatās not easy. There may need to be an easier way in the Fairphone app.
