On my FP6 I get regular notifications that the usb port is disabled because there is dirt or that it is wet. I assure you I keep my phone safe. After some time, it tells me that port is fine and it is activated again. To be sure I did vaccum the port and cleaned it with a small paintbrush. The notification still appeared after. Did anyone get the same issue ? Any idea on what to do to fix this. I am afraid it might refuse to charge when I need it.
I have the same issue for a few weeks now, even after cleaning the usb port. But I encountered no problem to charge the phone. Did you find a way to stop the notifications ?
I have this since I have the phone so since a year. it charges fine and cant find a reproducible pattern, thus I ignore it. It might be related to charging equipment and for sure there is never a guarantee it will not stop charging at some point needing a repair.
Dear @Jojolariflette@yvmuell , I figured out that the notification appears when I hold my phone with the small finger in front of the port. I remove it and soon I get the notification that it is ok again. I have no idea how to remove that kind of notification. It seems to be a safety to protect the phone and it is very sensitive to change in moisture (affecting impedance).
Following other forum advice, it seems that if it says “Liquid or debris in USB port” for more then 2h it might really be a problem and we should get support.
Hi everyone, I have the the same issue and changed the USB Port for the third time. It starts with the message “liquid …” but it ends with no charging possible. A finger at the usb port sometimes causes the message but mostly it appears without touchung the phone. Cleaning sometimes helps for a short time.
