Same here since the latest update.
After the last update (BUILD FP6.QREL.16.82.0) I have some issues with the dropdown menu. I cannot put it back up without a lot of tapping and swiping all around the screen.
More people having this issue?
Hi and welcome to the community forum.
I moved your post here where others reported about the problem.
Same problem here ![]()
I have the same problem (FP6.QREL.16.82.0).
It happens when I have the notification media play running (like YouTube).
Also the automatic Brightness a mess since the last update.
Have the same issue, great addition!
I use Gestures
Worked here as well, but a fix is welcome ![]()
I’ve noticed that the issue disappears if there is no media player tile in the notification drawer. However, once I open a media player, it reappears. This suggests that the problem is probably related to the media player tile.
Having the same issue if there is a media playback notification. The menu only goes back up uf I pull it up very slowly…
This should hopefully by fixed soon.
Came here to see if anyone else was having this issue. Can confirm that closing any media playback widget in the dropdown menu fixes the buggy behavior for me as well.
I just registered to say that this issue is highly annoying, I always have a media open.
Unfortunately few people (thanks @flepa and others !) have replied to this question.
For those using 3-button navigation, what happens when you tap the circle (central) button?
This should always bring you the home screen and close the Quick settings panel.
Similar question for those using Gestures.
I’m using gestures and just “swiping to homescreen” again brings up the quick settings. This only appears when having the player panel in notifications
Related to gestures: if I swipe up from the bottom “pill” (let’s call it “full swipe” for simplicity), the expanded quick settings panel is entirely collapsed, even if the music player tile is there.
If I swipe up from any other location of the screen then I enter the glitch loop and I cannot collapse the view even with a full swipe.
The fix is already on its way, so I dont think at the moment we need to collect data.
For sure the circle brings you back to homescreen, however thats not what I always want.
I’m having the same problem since the update. It works if I click the back button (on three button navigation bar) but I can’t swipe it up to get it away
I cannot believe this still has not been fixed. I have encountered this bug every day for weeks since the update.
This is not the kind of bug fix that should be delayed. It directly affects users multiple times a day. Fairphone should have fixed it immediately, not a month after it was first reported.
This is the kind of issue that makes me want to sell my Fairphone and stop recommending the company to others. As another user wrote, it seriously undermines trust in Fairphone’s ability to deliver reliable software.
This is already the sixth generation of Fairphone. How are user-experience-breaking bugs like this still happening?
If Motorola releases a phone that supports GrapheneOS, I will switch as soon as possible. Fairphone’s software division appears to have serious internal problems if bugs like this keep happening and are not fixed within a reasonable timeframe.
Same issue on mine as well
Removed the pinned media player, now completely resolved.
