Not possible to connect to any wifi

Hi,

Since a couple of weeks my fairphone does not connect to any wifi anymore. The problem occurred in a random moment without me doing an update or anything else.

1. I tried to connect to several different wifi without luck
2. Mobile connection is still working
3. I booted up in Safe mode without any luck
4. I resetted the Wifi settings on the phone
5. I downloaded the new update and updated to 6.A.031.7 (still same issue)
6. Fairphone is running Android 13

Any idea if this is an software or a hardware issue and how to fix it?

What exactly happens, when you try to connect to a WiFi network?

It tries to connect but after a few seconds I get a message (Netzwerkverbindung konnte nicht hergestellt werden.)

Not 100% sure what the equivalent message would be in an english phone but I guess (Network connection could not be established.)

Not necessarily needed here, I guess, but for reference …

Alternatively, one can set the phone to English, follow the necessary steps, and then set it back to the native language.
Settings - System - Languages & input - Languages - (add English here and/or if it’s there but not in the first position just long-tap and drag it into the first position).

Sure if needed I can do that but does not seam that my problem will be solved soon.
