Hello! I’ve noticed that I receive no warning when my battery is about to run out - there is a notification of the phone going into battery saving mode at a certain percent but not thereafter. On my previous phones (not FP) I’ve received a warning when there are like 3% left or at least just before the phone died, with my FP I get none
is this by default? Is there a way to change it? It’s kind of frustrating when it just dies out of nowhere, mid use
Dying mid-use would be like 50%? And the battery saver starts at 20%.
But anyway, you can change the battery saver to a different settings, like 10% or use a 3rd party app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=simple.batttery.alarm
Thank you for your reply.
Nah, mid use as in in the middle of me using it - while writing a text or taking a pic ![]()
Sure, but that won’t fix my issue of getting no warning before it shuts down. Also, that would mean using up more battery juice from not turning the battery saver mode on earlier![]()
The link appears to be broken?
The link is working fine on my phone and desktop. But just search for simple battery alarm in the playstore. It’s just an example, did not test this particular app so it could be just c-r-a-p
.
Right, thank you! ![]()
Just some general advice. Batteries don’t like to be run down any more than they like to be fully charged, except for calibration. If your battery regularly discharges so low, best to take a power bank with you.
You can find small ones that would enable you to avoid such situations and postpone the day when you’ll have to get a new battery.
Thanks, I didn’t know that about the battery and was stuck on the myth based on older phones
It does however luckily not discharge regularly (which is why I’m so shocked when it happens).
