Murena mail client

On my fairphone 6 with /e/OS/ I try to use the standard mail cliënt delivered with the OS. I have a murena.io account and that seems to work fine.

When I try to access an outlook mail account in this app, it asks me besides the mail address and pasword for SMTP and IMAP servers and port numbers. Does anyone know what tot full in these? Or where to find that?

If i read correctly that you want to use MS outlook email, I would check directly with your email provider.

For example I have work outlook account and they provide me with all the necessary information, including SMTP and IMAP.

I am using FPOS and usually do not comment in e/OS topics so if I misunderstood your post, please let me know.

Sorry for a german link but I didn’t find a switch to english language on the M$ homepage.

Just edit the URL and replace de-de with en-us:

But maybe the page checks the preferred language of the user opening the page and displays the desired one automatically.

Hey, this worked fine!

I have a related issue with the calender. How to add a MS account tot the agenda app?

I doubt that this will be possible. I assume you’ll need the outlook app to access the outlook.com calendar.

If you want to get GAFAM-free, then you might want to migrate your calendar from Outlook to Murena, from where it can be shared across pretty much all devices using FOSS and robust and open protocols. But I’m not sure what provision MS makes for exporting the data, and of course you may be tied to Outlook for other reasons.

On my own phone I have private calendars from Murena, but also work calendar from the proprietary app of my work’s mail system. Thanks to Android calendaring I can view at a glance all my calendars consolidated in any of the calendar apps, including the proprietary one.

Hello, my work will not provide this information because they say the App Lounge is not compliant with their cyber-security.
