Recently i have the issue that my phone crashes and reboots multible times in a row so i basically cant use it rellably anymore. I used the fossil launcher and deinstlled it. But the issue isnt solved. Does anyone has a simular problem or has a idea how to solve it?
In the worst case, you would probably solve this by performing a full reset. Better that, than a phone you can’t rely on.
In any case, it’s important to report this problem to official Fairphone Support.
Can you confirm the OS version that you are currently running. Go to
Settings > About phone > Build number
and report the value of that property.
If you decide to do a full reset, make sure you have backups of all important data, not just files and photos, but SMS, contacts, calendar, anything that’s important to you, even call logs.
Thanks!
Thank you. Yeah i hoped to find another solution.
I now did a reset. But it still crashes. Somedays without any. Some day i can’t use my phone at all.
Is there a harder reset then resting in the settings?
There is.
The reset that I presume you have performed, i.e.
Settings>System>Reset options>Erase all data
does exactly that. It doesn’t reinstall the OS.
To go further, you can perform a “clean install”. This would require use of a computer, it would require unlocking the phone’s bootloader and consequently would delete all your data on the phone.
