I noticed last week that the switch was no longer responding. I initially thought that it was a hardware issue, but when I went into the settings for the switch, I noticed that the Settings App crashes when I try to access it.
Is there anyone with the same or similar issue?
I already tried clearing data and cache, but that did not help

I have the exact same issue. The switch doesn’t do anything since a few days, and if I try to go to the settings it crashes.
To make sure, which app’s storage and cache did you clear?
There is “Android Switch” which has nothing to do with the Fairphone switch (I believe it serves to migrate data from another Android phone). There is “Switch Button Settings”, a system app, so it requires “Show system apps” (three dots in the top right corner when you are in Settings > Apps > All apps) to become accessible. And there is “Fairphone Moments”.

For me, it was the switch button settings app that crashed. I forcibly stopped it, removed the cache and local storage, then immediately rebooted the phone. Fairphone Moments now works again.
Somehow after this reboot I have an issue with my simcard but thats a different story, haha.

Sorry, I realized I never replied to your response.
It was indeed the Switch Button Settings that broke, your suggestion worked:
- Go to all apps
- Show system apps using triple dots
- Go to Switch Button Settings
- Clear Cache and Storage
- Go to Switch Settings in settings
- Select moments
Thank you for the help
