Moments button + flashlight = chaos

I was hoping the recent update would fix this, but it didn’t.

I’ve set the ‘Moments’ button on my fp6 (Android version) as a flashlight / torch switch.

However, when I use it, it keeps changing it’s mind about which position is ‘on’ and which is ‘off’….

For instance:

Starting with light off, I move the switch down. Light turns on. I move the switch up, light stays on! I move it down, light goes off. But a few minutes later, switch still down, light has turned itself on again.

Or: Light is off. I move the switch down, nothing happens. I move it back up, light goes on. I move it down, light goes off. Move the switch back up, light stays off. Move it down, light goes on.

Etc etc, all possible kinds of variations!

But it is never ever predictable.

I often use my phone as a torch, and love the idea of not having to unlock it first, but right now it’s an exercise in frustration - and any time I use it, I have to keep checking afterwards to see if it hasn’t turned itself on again, draining the battery.

I tried looking for a general ‘issues to solve with the fp6’ thread but could not find it - if it does exist, could someone point me in the right direction?

Sometimes it needs some seconds to turn on/off, for me it seems to be the case if the phone is in sleep mode but after restarting it responded quicker than out of the box..

I have the same problem. The Moments button does not work reliably with the flashlight function. As described by Booksniffer, the on and off position oft the button suddenly varies. Sometimes, when I switch off the torch, after a few seconds, it starts shining again, without touching the button.

I would appreciate, this could bei fixes somehow, because I really like that function of the Moments button.
