I installed the latest update after being prompted in my Fairphone 6 and after restarting, am stuck with the Moments menu. The toggle switch has no effect and usually clicking on the menu items does nothing (sometimes I can open Firefox). I can’t change the Moments settings as I can’t get into system settings.
Is there anything to try before doing a factory reset? I’m sure it’s a software issue rather than a problem with the switch.
Hi, I don’t have FP6 but some reviewers criticized the fact that you can still access all the apps via swiping from the bottom up. Would that work for you?
@ElKrasso ok, I tried again and this does work to switch between apps which are already open, but I can only open apps from notifications or occasionally from the Moments menu.
@UPPERCASE I should have said that I’ve already tried restarting, it just boots straight in to a buggy Moments menu.
I’ll do a factory reset and disable it for the time being. I’ve only had the phone for a couple of days so not too much pain to set up again.
Hmmm, okay. I thought I read somewhere the switch position didn’t matter. At boot it was always off. But I cannot find that documentation page anymore. Or maybe I just misread.
Hello,
I had the same issue and after trying everything I found that in Settings, then Default apps and changing Moments as Home app to Quickstep sorted out the problem.
Still not very happy with the FP 6 as it keeps crashing when using autoandroid.
Hope that helps.
