Why? (Honest question)
What’s the benefit of microG (which tries to mimic Google services so Apps relying on Google services might perhaps work without them) when you want to go Google-free and don’t want to use Google Apps or the Play Store?
I mean, I use LineageOS for microG myself, but @Muselaar: Do you use any Apps from the Play Store on your Fairphone Open OS (via Open GApps or the likes)?
As does regular LineageOS.
Honest question because I didn’t care much about /e/ yet … What does /e/ do better in this regard than regular LineageOS?
/e/ was even based on LineageOS at /e/'s start (Android 7) … have they emancipated themselves from LineageOS now going to Android 9?
