Hey there!
After the latest update, i noticed that neither Spotify nor Poweramp are
showing what is currently playing on the AOD anymore. This worked with
A15, and no options seem to have changed in the lock screen/AOD/display
settings. So i guess there’s no immediate setting i can try, but maybe
someone has found a solution here? Thanks!
Check settings in
Settings > Sound and vibration > Media
Hey, thanks for the suggestion, both options in there are checked, as they had been when it still worked 
Did you try turning them off and then on again?
That sounds silly, and it should be, but unfortunately sometimes the User Interface doesn’t display the true values of settings. This probably happens in all OSs.
Does the player show correctly for other uses, such as playing media from a website, or using an ordinary music player?

Unfortunately, that didn’t solve the problem for me. The aod even behaves as if there was some notification (smaller clock as opposed to when nothing else is displayed).
The players work any other time, Spotify and poweramp are also permanently docked.
So to clarify: before you had the Spotify Mediaplayer visible on the AoD screen or are you talking about the locl screen or both? I still have the Spotify Player on the lockscreen. I neither have it on the AoD screen, however I normally dont use it so no idea how it was before.
Yeah so when anything plays in Spotify or Poweramp, it shows on the lock screen normally. I can use the controls to change songs etc. But when the AOD turns on, it vanishes and it definitely 110% was there before the update(s). I saw it last with Android 15, and it just showed what was currently playing.
Can confirm, on Android 15 when I was listening to music on Spotify it would show the track name and artist on the AOD along with a small Spotify icon. This is gone since 16 which is annoying because I can no longer see the information without interacting with the phone.

When I have my screen turned off, it doesn’t show the media player, although the clock acts like it does, while no notifications are shown. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I’ve tried everything in terms of notifications, media and vibration and the display settings
