My Fairphone 6 struggles to reconnect to the cellular network after losing signal, such as when I’m in an apartment building core. While my previous Pixel 8, Moto G, and Galaxy S5 phones reconnected in seconds, the FP6 can take up to 10 minutes.
Standard troubleshooting (rebooting, toggling internet, forcing 4G/3G) does not fix the issue/ Anyone else having a similar issue?
How many SIMs do you have?
Is choice of network automatic or manual?
I’ve not seen such difficulties, despite frequenting a huge building, the bottom seven stories of which are below ground level to some extent. But I don’t have my eyes glued to the phone either. But certainly no long waits for connection when conditions are reasonable.
Automatic selection only 1 esim.
You might want to turn off Bluetooth.
Apart from that, all I can think of, apart from contacting FP Support, would be to run some checks with mobile signal testing app. Something like Signal Strength and compare notes with a few other devices.
