I am on lineageos and Android 15 and was offered the update after a reboot. That is very weird and not expected. That should not hapoen I would say and it was the first time.
But it’s still LineageOS booting? And the LineageOS updater offered Fairphone’s OS update to you?
Are you sure this is LineageOS? The update section doesn’t look like this on my LineageOS (neither on 22 nor 23).
Could you send a screenshot of Setting > About phone?
Emmmm, I have no clue what happened here. My only theory is that they folks from LineageOS use some firmware/other part of the official Fairphone OS and something was left in the LineageOS build by mistake. I think it’s best to report it to them.
Ok, so at least it looks like the LineageOS updater doesn’t offer it, this would have been quite weird, indeed.
But there’s this notification coming from somewhere. When it comes up again, could you just long-tap it in its short form so that it expands a bit and shows which App is firing it? Or perhaps it already says in the short form, at the top left … I only have an /e/OS update notification to show as an example …

@Grimmwolf When you originally switched to LineageOS (probably a long time ago), did you migrate some apps and data in an automatized way? I also vaguely remember that (some years ago) when I switched an FP2 (!) from Fairphone OS to LineageOS, apps and data were taken over – although no bootloader unlocking was required then (so no factory reset triggered).
I did not migrate anything automatically. I did a fresh install. Previous updates did not show up like this one.
Just aa an update, this seems to be an issue of lineageos and should be fixed in tomorrows update.
This issue is solved by installing the most recent build oft lineageos.
I tried it and it worked.
