Looking to purchase a Fairphone 4

I’d been looking to buy a Fairphone 4 this week, since I need a new phone; the old one’s got a broken screen and is several years old by now, so upgrading to a Fairphone and recycling the old one seems like a better choice to me than just getting a new screen.

I saw that a Fairphone 4 was selling in the region of £270 on the main Fairphone Shop earlier this week. However, checking it this morning, I saw that it was saying the Fairphone 4 had been discontinued. I don’t think a new Fairphone 5 is in my budget, but I DO really need a new phone.

If anyone has a Fairphone 4 in a decent condition, then I’m willing to pay £270 for it, plus shipping. It would need to be shipped to the UK, with more precise shipping details being discussed.

I’d be really happy if someone could help me with this, it’s much obliged!

EDIT — While I’ve not bought it yet, I’ve found an eBay listing that’s within budget and looks really promising, and I’ve messaged Fairphone support to have the IMEI numbers checked first, just to be safe. I’ll let everyone know how it goes!

Be aware, that cross-border shipment of batteries outside a phone is virtually impossible for individuals.

Hi,
Presumably checked these out as would come in below your budget?

I have already checked that out - I think the fact that the photo in the eBay listing seems to be quite generic has my alarm bells ringing that it might not be legit?

I think some of the other Fairphone 4 listings are cheaper and with photos, but with more obvious wear and tear. I don’t entirely mind that, but I’m enough of a newbie with FP’s that I’m not sure if you can really replace the casing or body if that gets damaged?

Thank you for letting me know though, I’ll look more into eBay - it might be the best option for getting one in the UK in my budget.

EDIT - Just remembered that eBay does have a money-back guarantee if the phone isn’t as described, so my concerns about it being a scam have been mitigated somewhat. Thank you for the listing, I’ll take another look!
