Hi, I’m not “average user” per se as I seem to have had an unpleasant experience but I am only a couple of train stops away. What would it be about?
Not OP, but unpleasant experiences are also important :)) I’d even say that they say more about the company than the good ones.
while I agree that unpleasant experiences are important I fully disagree that they are more important. At the end each experience on its own remains anecdotal evidence and doesnt say anything about the device or the company.
I should have probably added (which I even though of while writing the original comment) that it matters a lot when you also assess the number of such unpleasant cases.
I also believe that what matters most is how a company handles the bad stuff that happens. It’s easy to lead a company that never has any issues and you never have to apologise publicly or fix your mistakes. However, there is always a possibility that something bad happens, and as a consumer I’d like to know, what I can expect from Fairphone if I have any issues in the future (hardware failure, bad software update etc.). These bad experiences often let you have a peek at that.
But I agree, that these could just be anecdotal, so one has to be careful in that regard.
