Hi all, I have a question: is it possible, on fp4, to lock some features available on scroll down menu when screen is locked? I see that I can enable wi-fi,hotpot,NFC without unlocking the screen. At work I have a Samsung S24, and I cannot disable wi-fi without unlocking the screen.
I couldn’t find anything on the phone itself, so I Googled it. It seems this is not included on Android OS. There’s lots of complaints on Pixel forums about it not being available. It does seem like an oversight, as anyone can put the phone into Airplane mode just by picking it up and swiping down
I have that feature in Calyx OS under Settings → Security → Device Unlock → Screen Lock, but it doesn’t exist in stock Fairphone OS, I checked.
Not sure if this is a feature of AOSP that only some vendors enable (since Samsung also has it), but then the Pixels would probably also have it
Either way doesn’t seem likely that FPOS will gain it any time soon.
I think that was discussed before already,I will search and should I find the old topic move your post.
When the phone is unlocked you can edit the tiles that are available on the pull-down menu on the lock screen (aka the quick settings). Swipe down twice to see the full menu (two pages each of up to 8 tiles for me) then click the pencil on the right to edit by rearrange tiles). Move the quick settings you don’t want to be available when the phone is locked from the top to the bottom.
When the phone is locked you can only access the designated quick settings, you can’t edit the quick settings.
Is that what you were looking for?
Thank you for the suggestion but no, I’d like that, for example, if hotspot is in the pull-down menu, with phone locked, it should not be possible to activate it.
