The minimal OpenGApps package (pico) has all the necessary parts and libraries for third-party apps to work just fine. So don’t worry. Yes. microG and original GMS are incompatible. I’d say there’s no other way. Flashing OpenGApps on top of microG could go wrong, and OTA updates for the LineageOS for microG ROM could cause a lot of troubles, too.
