🇩🇪 🇬🇧 Kamera- und Fotos-Apps funktionieren nach Einsetzen einer SD-Karte nicht mehr

Hallo,
ich habe eine SD Karte (ScanDisk 128GB) ins FP3 eingelegt und den automatischen Datentransfer zugelassen.
Fotos aus der Fotos App erscheinen jetzt weder unter Telefonspeicher noch unter SD-Speicher (wenngleich in der FotoApp nach wie vor nach wie vor Nutzerdaten von 2,3 GB gezeigt werden - die Fotos müssten also noch irgendwo sein, sind aber nicht zugänglich).
Und die Kamera App funktioniert seitdem auch nicht mehr; wenn ich ein Foto mache, erscheint danach ein schwarzer Screen, dort wo üblicherweise das Vorschaubild angezeigt wird.
Wenn ich die Datei dann in der FotosApp öffnen will, kann sie nicht geladen werden - angezeigt wird ein “leeres” (weißes) Quadrat, angezeigt wird als Speicherort: /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera/Dateiname. Telefon habe ich bereits mehrfach neugestartet, das ändert nichts an der Situation.

Ja, habe ich. Kann ich denn im FP3 als externen / mobilen Speicher rekonfigurieren, oder ist dann auf jeden Fall alles weg?
Problem mit ext. Datenspeicherung ist, dass ich vom FP3 nicht auf Mac sichern kann, genau deswegen hab ich die SD Karte eingelegt. Cloud leider nicht aktiviert.

Wenn du die Karte formatierst, dann ist nämlich alles weg, was darauf war.
Was kommt vor, wenn du dein FP3 mit einem Computer verbindet? Könntest du vielleicht deine Daten sichern, und dann versuchen, die Karte zu rekonfigurieren?
Vielleicht können andere dir bessere Ratschläge geben, ich persönlich habe kein FP3 (und bin auch kein Deutscher).

Ja, verstehe, aber es scheint, dass eine als interner Speicher formatierte Karte auch viele Probleme bringen kann.

Hi Alex,
Happy to reply in EN then. The problem is that I work with a Mac and it simply doesn’t recognize the FP3, it won’t even show on my Mac (despite using a data cable and activating the data transfer option). Will try on a PC, but that won’t be before mid-next-week.
So I understand that I would better not use my camera and the photos app and renounce reformatting the sd card, to ensure further data loss, until I can try to connect to a computer and hope to be able to access the data from there, correct?

I suppose you could try other things such as taking the card out and see if you can access your data from your computer. It would also indicate whether the problem comes from your computer, as well as which data is on the phone and on the sd card, etc. I don’t think it’s going to break anything.

If you are not on a really recent MacOS version (I am on MacOS 10.11.6, it works with that), you might need to install Android File Transfer on your Mac to connect to an Android phone via USB.

This won’t work here as the card was configured as “internal memory” and so it’s encrypted.

I think I wasn’t clear. I meant taking the card away and seeing which data was left on the phone, and preferably copy it to a computer, and also how the apps behaved without the card.

Thanks, Android File Transfer was helpful. Funny enough, the moment I take out the SD card, it won’t recognize the data transfer mode on my FP anymore… Managed to save a few things only, but pics are gone; cannot backup WhatsApp on googledrive; only contacts worked.

One last questions: I’ve now re-formatted my SD-card to mobile storage. Any hints on whether that works reliably or not? Or would you renounce SD-card storage altogether on FP3? Thx

I think formatting it as external storage is quite reliable and should work well. Internal storage was already known to be sort of unstable even before android 10 upgrade. External storage wasn’t reported to cause any big issues.

Hi Patrick,
bin hier reingeraten. Du kannst übrigens mit “android file transfer” auf deinem deinem mac, dateien vom oder auf das FP3 transferieren. funzt sowohl mit android als auch mit e os. selbst probiert.
