Hi and welcome to the forum. As the forum is not to report issues to FP, opening a ticket always is the correct way.
Since updating to Android 16 the option to switch the back and recents buttons when using the 3 button navigation does not work. It’s been months since this was acknowledged as an issue but still hasn’t been fixed. Having to fight over a decade of muscle memory just to use the phone is horrible.
Between this and the camera randomly deleting your photos, this is the buggiest phone I have ever used and I’m having some serious buyer’s remorse.
Hi ! i’ve also reported this issue to the fairphone support service many times and i receive the same automatic response about it everytime… it seems like they are working on it, but we’re still waiting for an update… Glad to know i’m not the only one having this issue tho

I also have this problem since updating to Android 16. This breaks some 10y of muscle memory for me. I did also file an official bug report, using the FP app (which was a terrible experience as a whole, and felt more like a joke doing it). Then I did also receive an automated response closing my ticket (1428340), but assuring me that they are working on it …
So why did you close my ticket if you haven’t fixed the issue?
Would it be too much to ask of FP to get an official timeline for a fix on this issue?
This issue really should appear on the known issues list if they’re closing tickets for it as known…
minor issues are not listed on the public list and I doubt they categorize this as major, so I dont think it will be added to that list
It really should be considered major. Until I found out that the option to invert existed, it having the back/recent buttons swapped was a dealbreaker that kept me from buying a fairphone.
Said to be fixed with the newest update
