Hello! I bought a Fairphone 4 with /e/os through Murena last spring as it was the only way I could get a Fairphone in the US. It works OK, but “de-googling” is not a big priority for me and I’m tired of dealing with random compatibility issues with /e/os. I’m thinking I’d like the default “regular android” Fairphone OS better. Are there any reasons I shouldn’t just install that onto my device using the manual installation instructions here (https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/18896094650513-Install-Fairphone-OS-manually) or any major risks I should be aware of before doing that? I have cellular connectivity working with Mint Mobile right now on /e/os, is there reason to think that Fairphone OS would have problems with US cellular networks?

Regarding the connectivity question, you might also want to check/ask here:
If you just search for the term “mint” in the above topic, you wil alreadyl find some replies there mentioning it.

If you still consider to change the OS after reading the mentioned provider compatibility posts, then either don’t relock the the bootloader after installing FPOS to avoid
or read relevant articles in this forum about relocking the bootloader before doing so.

That’s helpful, thanks! It sounds like everything is working currently with Mint, there’s no reason to think that a different OS and the same sim card would have problems?
