Installing CalyxOS on Fairphone 5 from Linux

Struggling to install Calyx on a Fairphone 5. I’ve tried the web installer and the installation script on two different machines running Debian 12. The former says it is incompatible with FP5, while the latter hangs on “Failed to unlock FP5 ****** bootloader”.

All steps required in the script have been done; connecting to a wifi network, no SIM, Developer Mode enabled, USB debugging enabled, and the connected computer is allowed to do debugging.

I have already unlocked the phone with “fastboot flashing unlock” and “fastboot flashing unlock_critical”. In addition, the device is visible from “fastboot devices -l”. Despite all that, the installation script fails…

Quick check: did you verify the file digest as described in the CalyxOS docs?

If the checksum does not match, you might have a corrupted image and should try downloading it again and re-verify the digest.

Yup, the file was corrupted. Works now. Thanks!
