Installation of /e/OS was interruptet: bricked and in the bootloader

I was installing /e/os.

Being very close to the installation (step 22 of 24) the installation idled for a long time. I happend to do the properly worse thing; I managed reload the browser hence to connection was lost.

Now my phone in bricked. In in bootloader.
Even “Recovery Mode” brings back the bootloader. I guess this is because there is no functional OS.

There is properly no quick-fix but I an ready to go to long way.

Can anybody help?

So your bootloader is still unlocked? Then either install e/OS again or FPOS

My Win 10 cannot connect to my Fairphone. I have read somewhere that Linux might do the trick (I am going to switch to Linux anyway). Is there a Linux distro is should use, or distroes I should avoid - or are the all good when it comes to installing eOS or connecting to a phone in unlocked fastboot mode

I would recommend Linux Mint. Lately on several computers I had problems with updating to Ubuntu 24/Xubuntu 24.
