Improvement to firmware

Hiya, Just a few suggestions for a future version of the firmware on the Fairbuds XL (if any are ever coming again…)

  1. Allow for a default setting for ANC, set via the app. With ANC issues not being addressed, I usually just set my headset to ANC-off, which takes a while cycling thru the settings.

  2. Option (or just change default) to disable wake-on-power. I don’t want my headset turned on when charging! I’m not even using them usually! This just hurts battery longevity and incurs unnecessary wear on the drivers since ANC is active.

  3. If charging, please disable the “low battery” warning. I’m charging them - so let me be!

Hopefully v90 isn’t the last update, I feel like the software is so close to being in an awesome state. Please keep it up!

there are a bunch of questions and threads on this forum regarding Fairbuds XL firmware. including Unecessary long phrase when changing modes on Fairbuds and Fairbuds XL set default mode? . I don’t think anyone is getting responses from Fairphone and I don’t think there has been a firmware update for over a year. so yeah, join the club. I’m not dissatisfied with my Fairbuds XL, but I think they need a few more firmware improvements to actually get it right. that’s not taking into account limitations on the ANC system, just daily usability when operating the headphones.

Are you sure about this? I have never noticed it and cannot reproduce it right now, either. Which indicators do you have for them actually turning on?
For me, neither Bluetooth connects nor do they make any announcement or do I get any other indication that they might have turned on. Only the charging LED turns on, that’s all.
