"Huawei Mobile Services" keeps popping up error message

I don’t know if this is a Fairphone 4 issue, but I wondered if anyone else had solved this?

I have found this Huawei thread suggesting you just need to update Huawei Mobile Services, but I don’t see that installed on my phone and I imagine that services are hidden where apps are not. I also don’t have any Huawei apps installed.

I used to have a Huawei phone and it’s possible that apps somehow came across through my Google Play account.

I have a Huawei health tracker and it will only connect with Huawei Health app. For the app to work it will insist on installing a bunch of background services including AppGallery and Huawei Mobile Core.
If you’ve had a Huawei phone before a new phone, Backup will copy across a number of services. If you don’t need the Huawei app or services then you can uninstall them from Settings > Apps > All Apps
Look down the list for HMS Core, select it and you can uninstall it from there. Also check for AppGallery and any other Huawei apps.

Thank you so much! It was Huawei Mobile Services I found in that list and I’ve uninstalled it. Should have posted here months ago!
