After reboot, the FP requires Pincodes of both the SIM-card(s), and the device. Standard Android has an option to skip the Pincodes of the SIM-cards - where is this option in the FP?
Search for SIM in the settings its under SIM-Lock (more dataprotection and security)… I guess as under “standard” Android
Thx @yvmuell, issue solved. The path (in German version) is
Einstellungen > Sicherheit und Datenschutz > Mehr Sicherheit und Datenschutz > SIM-Lock > option “SIM sperren (Telefon kann nur mit PIN genutzt werden)”
The option was inactive - activation requires input of the SIM-pincode. After activation the SIM-pincode is skipped, after boot.
Didn’t mention settings under path “SIM Lock” before, because I didn’t expect solution for my problem, here: I only knew this designation to refer to a technical restriction built into mobile phones by manufacturers for use by service providers to restrict the use of these phones to specific countries and/or networks (Wikipedia). To avoid such misunderstanding, I would suggest to change the designation, in the FP system.
Well thats rather a Google decision and FP uses AOSP with very few adjustments, like the Pixel Phones and words often have different meanings.
