How to update the Android bootloader interface drivers?

I was following along the “Manage the bootloader” (https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/10492476238865-Manage-the-Bootloader) guide, when I hit an unexpected wall. The guide says "go through the device manager, look under “Other devices” and there should be your thing.
I don’t have the “Other devices” tab in my device manager. However, my phone shows up under “portable devices”. I updated those drivers, but the “Google bootloader interface” driver was not on that list.

So, is my phone connected in some wrong mode? Is my usb cable the wrong type? What am i doing wrong?

I understand what should be happening, but I don’t know where the issue is. I have managed to follow the steps up to that point just fine. And of course, the tech support is offline rn, so I have to turn to the community.

For windows see here

Yeah I’m still not getting the right drivers, even in fastboot mode.

I do get this, does this work? Or does it have to be the Google drivers?

the driver in your screenshot is all you need. The official instructions are unnessarily complicated thus the linked topic

So i can now just ignore all of the “driver” instructions, and continue with the instructions as written past that point?

They could have at least included download links to the right drivers, instead of going through windows updates…

Ok, past that hurdle, I have managed to flash the OS (I think), but as the instructions end there, I don’t quite know what next.
Phone is still in fastboot mode. Unless the .bat file should initiate a reset, I guess I just have to reset the phone myself. But should I re-lock the bootloader first?

These instructions could be a lot clearer…

Don’t look your bootloader yet!
First you need to run the command:
fastboot flashing get_unlock_ability
If the outcome is 0 you will brick your phone, if you lock the bootloader.

when flashing the same OS that should not be a problem and its a bit difficult to no boot into Android before, which is important.

Well I didn’t brick my phone, and I don’t think the bootloader is still unlocked, so now it’s in the Fairphone teams hands to fix what was wrong.
The flashing did not fix the issue. That could also be me doing something wrong, because the instructions were not that clear.
