How to turn off "app suggestions" in the Launcher

In other Android versions there are all kinds of ways to disable this bar of Suggestions when opening up the Apps launcher by tapping the 3-dots button. However on my Fairphone I can’t seem to find it.
No “Settings” when tap-hold ok the Home Screen
No settings anywhere for the Launcher can be found.

Can this be turned off in some way on a Fairphone?
