How can I make a backup on the PC?

I have to reset my FP5 for getting it fixed. Now I have to backup it.
How can I make a backup on the PC? When I get the fixed phone, I want to backup it from PC (not from my google-Account). Up to now my data is not in the google-Account.

Hello and welcome to the forum
Please let us know what OS you are using - FPOS or e/OS?

Plus I think it would be good to know what kind of data you want to back up.
The easiest would be files - documents, pictures - you can just download them on your PC (and back) using the cable. I am talking about FPOS but I would assume it should work with different OS as well.

Transferring your calls history and text messages would most likely require a dedicated app, I personally use SMS Backup & Restore.

But if you want to restore data from your apps and do not want to use Google for that, I guess you would need to take care of that for each app separately.

But perhaps with more specific information provided by you (OS, types of data/apps), some other community members would have more to say.

Kindly use the search function of the forum this topic is discussed many times and is not device specific.

I use the Android-Version 15.

There really is no other solution than the google-account to save all the phone? I can hardly believe that.
My aim: Save all my data on the PC. When I got the phone back, I want to plug it in and copy the backup from the PC, that the phone will be as it is now. So: Copy all apps, data from the apps, preferences etc. pp.
(Does that not work for the computer? Unfortunately I don’t know, how this is called.)

Thanks for your help!

No without root such easy all in one solution does not exist. Kindly read a bit in in other topics

Dear yvmuell

Please apology, but I invested two hours yesterday searching the forum and I did not find or look the discussion “factory reset costs a lot of time…”, because I thought, this is not connected to my question. And please note, that the others I found were several years old.
Your link helps me more… But even with this I have to research a lot.

Anyway. I wish that on the official fairphone-homepage would be more information about this topic than it is now: backup data.

My final question, if it is possible:
How can I change my backup-place? I don’t find the possibility, that I can switch between the google-account and the sd-card.

Thanks for your help,
gabr

You cant all in one, you can only check what each app allows.
