Help - Installling CalyxOS FP 5 Windows - Smartphone not recognized

Hey,
I am just installing CalyxOS.

From: Windows
Phone: FP 5
Problem: Computer doesn´t find the Phone

I am just installing CalyxOS. The Computer doesn´t recognize my FP 5.
I tried to install the USB Driver with the mentioned “.zip”. That didn´t work. Then I installed Android Studio to install the Google USB Driver. Since I did that the computer makes a sound, if I put in the Smartphone. But I can´t see it at “Hardware”

I did put the FP5 into the USB slot in “Fastboot” mode, because of the instructions in the link. I didnt follow the instructions in the command line as I followed them in the instruction from CalyxOS.

Does the Software behind the Command Line want me to start without the Smartphone in Fastboot Mode?

What means it didnt work? It didnt install, erors message…?

So to ensure to understand: you use the device flasher or not?

Either way try to update fastboot driver, described here

the instructions dont mention fastboot

It didn´t say anythin like “installation complete” or “installed”. And It didn´t recognice the Phone.
After that I installed the USB driver with “Android Studio”. There is a green tick in Android Studio.

Yes, I do.
The device Flasher is in the same directory as the OS image.

They do under the point “Prepare your host Computer”.
I think the phone shall stay in that mode for all the time.

Maybee it really is an issue with the cable.
I got only one…

I dont think when you start it needs to be in fastboot

To have the USB driver correctly installed as documented in the Calyc instructions is important

It seems to work now.

I did go to “WindowsUpdate” and made all including the optional updates. Now it recognizes the Phone.
I did just start in Fastboot. I will stop that and start without Fastboot.

Would I destroy it, if I start the process in Fastboot?
When I tried to get some information about the process I read the phones could be easyli destroyed, if I make something in another way as the instructions say.

I dont think so but I dont know… As its working now just follow the instructions, especially dont lock the bootloader manually, follow the device flasher.

Now it says:
“No matching factory image found.
No devices to be flashed.”

The only thing I change is not starting in Fastboot.
And I started the process several times during the last hours… but the original data shouldn´t be influenced. I deleted the unpacked and from “device-flasher” downloaded data.

Hey ;D
Thank you very much.

It did work now.
The problem really was that the USB driver was installed but some optional updates were missing.
I don´t know why I had some issues in the end.
I deleted all the files which were de.packed and restarted the computer.
Then it worked.

I am wondering if everyone has these difficulties
