Problem: Computer doesn´t find the Phone
I am just installing CalyxOS. The Computer doesn´t recognize my FP 5.
I tried to install the USB Driver with the mentioned “.zip”. That didn´t work. Then I installed Android Studio to install the Google USB Driver. Since I did that the computer makes a sound, if I put in the Smartphone. But I can´t see it at “Hardware”
I did put the FP5 into the USB slot in “Fastboot” mode, because of the instructions in the link. I didnt follow the instructions in the command line as I followed them in the instruction from CalyxOS.
Does the Software behind the Command Line want me to start without the Smartphone in Fastboot Mode?
It didn´t say anythin like “installation complete” or “installed”. And It didn´t recognice the Phone.
After that I installed the USB driver with “Android Studio”. There is a green tick in Android Studio.
Yes, I do.
The device Flasher is in the same directory as the OS image.
I did go to “WindowsUpdate” and made all including the optional updates. Now it recognizes the Phone.
I did just start in Fastboot. I will stop that and start without Fastboot.
Would I destroy it, if I start the process in Fastboot?
When I tried to get some information about the process I read the phones could be easyli destroyed, if I make something in another way as the instructions say.
I dont think so but I dont know… As its working now just follow the instructions, especially dont lock the bootloader manually, follow the device flasher.
The only thing I change is not starting in Fastboot.
And I started the process several times during the last hours… but the original data shouldn´t be influenced. I deleted the unpacked and from “device-flasher” downloaded data.
It did work now.
The problem really was that the USB driver was installed but some optional updates were missing.
I don´t know why I had some issues in the end.
I deleted all the files which were de.packed and restarted the computer.
Then it worked.
