Hi, my new fairphone 6 totally fell into the toilet yesterday. My partner then switched it off after a few minutes, it took some time to find the right torx bit to open the phone and remove all removeable parts… It had 30 hours drying time. I just put everything back together. The phone now can be switched on, and everything seems to work BUT the SIM ist not available and the USB Port is not charging - both phone on or off.
After asking AI, I cleaned the sim and USB contacts with 96% alocohol, tried different charging cables - none of them worked.
Any ideas what to do? As it is not expensive, my idea would be order a new USB port and ask my provider for a new sim… but are there other opportunities, things to check in a clever way what is wrong?
